Sammamish Rowing Association’s High School Team provides a safe and supportive environment for student athletes to develop rowing skills and fitness, as well as sportsmanship, commitment, teamwork, and discipline. SRA’s coaches provide support and guidance to help athletes pursue excellence on and off the water, set and achieve realistic goals, and develop balance between family, school, and rowing. Junior rowers leave SRA with the confidence to take on the next chapters of their lives whether on or off the water, having built skills, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. "Rowing is for anyone, because of the success you can gain from it even when you are least expecting it. The community behind you will support you to achieve whatever you want. Rowing improved my life because it brought me some of my best friends, and I can say the experiences I’ve had with Sammamish Rowing Association have shaped me into the person I am today."

Regatta and Junior Program Schedule
For our full 2024 junior schedule that includes events, parent meetings, regattas, and more, click the red button below.
TrainingDeveloping the fitness, skills, and strength required to be competitive requires a serious time commitment, including practice after school and on Saturdays as well as regattas on some weekends. To achieve top speed on the water, rowers also spend significant time on land engaged in weight training, running, and time on rowing machines (ergs). The practice and race schedule varies by season; see below for the current schedule.
Rowing is a year-round sport at SRA. However, if you are a multisport athlete interested in joining us after your other sport season is over, email one of the junior coaches via our staff page. |
